That depends on your perspective. I’d argue that, to the average college student who doesn’t get preferential treatment and has to go to class in person, it’s a pretty big deal.
I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think it’s the slam dunk you might perceive it to be. A situation like this wouldn’t be as simple as numbers. The average US gun owner is going to be someone with a handgun and or/rifle. Thats not going to be anything besides a bug on the windshield...
In most typical commercial construction that would be true, but keep in mind that most universities build things to last 50+ years. Couple that with the level of finish ND typically applies, what might normally cost $x/SF suddenly becomes $3x+/SF in this situation.
