At this point I may be rooting for BYU - that way Miami gets left out too! The only scenario I see for us to get in would be Alabama getting steamrolled. The committee is setting up for a Miami at A&M - they won’t want a rematch of ND and the Aggies imo

SMU losing to Cal would absolutely help - even if VT doesn’t pull the upset as well. Would mean both of Miami’s losses were to unranked teams. I really do think that the decision for the final spot will be ND and Miami. I hope I’m wrong and we stay at 9 or move up to 8.

What some may not realize…..Miami needs a small miracle to make the ACC championship game. Assuming they don’t get the help, the putrid ACC could get 2 teams in (I.e. Georgia Tech and Miami) Alabama beating Georgia and going 10-2 in the regular season gets them in - which is why I’m rooting...
