I agree. He made a business decision where he thought he could win a natty or chasing a huge salary. Whatever the reason, coaches do this every day. I actually never had an opportunity issue with it. Unfortunately, it’s now a big part of the game with players as well.

On another note: ND is 5-2 agains the top 6 teams other than the Irish. Only team they did not beat was Duke. Beat NC, Syracuse, NC State, V Tech and Louisville (split). A number if good wins on their resume.

I remember when Soldier Field had a capacity of over 100,000. The annual Catholic league champion vs Public league champion game (Prep Biwl) would at times fill the stadium.
I think if MF wins a natty at some point, he could consider the League. But I don’t think that’s in the next 2-3 years.
