Interesting back story here... Apparently the former USC DL coach Eric Henderson has been highlighting his ties to Aaron Donald on the recruiting trail. Of course, Henderson is no longer at USC and the defensive scheme is set to change under Gary Patterson. So alot of the former sales pitch...

The simple question is whether he is better than Hebert or 2 true freshman as a potential backup QB. You don't have to like him as long as he makes the team better. I would take Tim Tebow if he was willing to sit on the bench.

The only reason in my mind that the BIG could possibly agree to a scheduling agreement would be NBC. Without expansion, there isnt many ways to increase their TV revenue other than something like an alliance with ND. In isolation, I dont think either the BIG or the SEC agree to an arrangement...

I think this is the overlooked aspect of cancelling the series. It was in Lincoln Riley's personal interests to avoid ND and schedule a easy win like Louisiana. It's playoffs or bust for them this year. Cancelling the ND game could be the difference between him getting fired or not.

Henderson was the key to SC holding their recruiting class together. Hopefully him leaving paves the way for it to fall apart next year.
