What areas are in the most need for 2005 and beyond?

I rate the following three:

1. Defensive backs, especially corners
2. Wide Receivers with speed
3. Offensive linemen

Speed overall is a major concern. Chase Anastacio as a kick returner? Surely, there has to be someone faster out there that can return kickoffs. Carlyle Holiday returning punts? Is it me, or does he move like he has pants full of lead?

Regardless of who the coach is, recruiting needs to step up. Davie and Willingham haven't been nearly as efficient as Lou Holtz was in getting athletic football players to South Bend. So far ND has 3 WR and 2 DB committed. No offensive linemen as of yet.

What areas besides these need upgraded the most as far as player personnel?

Linemen, Linemen, Linemen. We need them bad, but we wont get many be cause Ty is a bad recruiter. He did it at Stanford, and now hes screwing up our recruiting system. We are going to have too many offensive skilled people and not enough defensive or offensive linemen. We need defensive backs bad. Somebody has to be on the other side to compliment Tom Zbikowski. We need corners so bad, but we need a DB coach who can teach our current guys how to play pass defense. Above all, we need a new offensive coordinator. Ty wont get fired, even though everyone in the world knows he sucks, so if we had an experienced offensive coordinator who was aggressive maybe we could do better. But, Ty doesnt care because he still loves Stanford at heart.

Some TALL Corners are a necessity. Pitt Usc go on and on took advantage of our 3 foot 1 corners. WRS FAST r also required.

Recruit as much as possible to get talent in the sidelines.

Dan Doering from Barrington IL is the guy to get. He's down to Iowa and ND. I saw him play three times this year. Dominating. Barely any fat on him and he's quick. It starts with him and the others will follow.

Yeah. I think he is the most important guy for us to get.
