Geno the bully said he hoped the referees would not call fouls, because he knows that we would smoke his team if it was called according to the rules of the game. And what did the referees do? They let a national semifinal game turn into an out of control brawl, where UCONN leveled the playing field by attacking ND with hacking, elbowing, punching, pushing and round hooks. I have never seen, at any level, a basketball game that so closely resembled a football game as that farce tonight. The only saving grace is that he didn't get away with it. That's how much better we are than them.

Somebody on the committee needs to take a good look at why he has so much influence. No other coach or team could get away with the amount of hacking, elbowing, punching, pushing and round hooks that UCONN got away with tonight. It was sickening to see him get his way, but sweet to see that he lost anyway.

The handshake at the end of the game was priceless. He wouldn't even look at Muffet. She's an awesome coach who now owns that fanny crackers balls in a lock box. Retire now, Fanny Cracker. The era of Gino and Pat (sadly) is over... Long live Muffet.

I think Gino's statements about how he blames Notre Dame for all the conference realignment craze that has been going on speaks volumes for what he feels about Notre Dame. He hates us for our power. The Miami Hurricanes had to learn the same lesson back in the late eighties when they could not comprehend how we had a National Television contract and they did not. These guys need to learn that it is not good enough to be a prick and win. People wan't more than an arrogant winner (or now an arrogant loser!) Go Irish.

It's always nice to see UConn go down and see Gino have a nice glass of STFU!!! This NC game should be interesting to say the least...I see us implementing a strategy similar to what Stanford did
