Lack of parenting skills is what threatens the fabric of America. It has created kids with no sense of responsibility to anyone other than themselves and their immediate wants, you see this on Main Street and you also see it on Wall Street. I don't see a whole lot of redeeming messages in rap music, I also don't see many in Ozzy or Led Zeppelin or MegaDeth or Slayer somel of which I have enjoyed. If I were going to blame one part of the entertainment industry for this breakdown I would blame Soap Opera's. That was the first introduction to completely scandalous values that were not for the most part prevalent in society. Now we have the "children" and "grandchildren" of the soap operas-Jerry Springer and Jersey Shore and yes...most radio rap but to simply blame rap is to really see the speck in the other guy's eye. IMHO
