I know it's my first post, i'm not a Notre Dame fan, but I'm a huge fan of Lou Holtz, as he coached my team the Gamecocks.

I acquired a set of unique ND coins that I'm hoping y'all can help me put a value on.

They are sealed in a nice casing and are a matched number set, but all are identical except for the precious metals that make them (bronze, silver & 24K gold). They are part First Game Official Flip Coin Proof Set for the Sept. 6, 1997 game against Georgia Tech. The back of the coins have a picture of Notre Dame Stadium and says "Renovated 1997"

I know the value of the precious metals alone, but I was hoping to put a value on the set of coins together.

Thank you.

I'm not sure how important the renovation was to most ND fans. I personally like that the stadium is bigger but personally think the renovations is sort of a generic eye sore. But you may find somebody who values the coins since they are 15 years old now and a part of ND history.

Thank you. I looked at google, ebay, amazon, ask.com, and on a couple ND forums. I only found 1 reference to them on ask.com, but nobody had an answer.
There are only 197 of these proof sets issued, so I know the item is rare, but that's making it even harder to value.
