As everyone know preparing for Navy is a difficult task.

Navy has 4 losses by a combined score of 8 point

3rd ranked rushing team in the nation.


The offense has to score points because Navy is able to score.

Today is intense Tuesday.

Already started preperation for Navy started yesterday

Have to get into a ruitine by practicing similiar to the way you play without getting injured.

They have very spirited practices to prepare for Saturday. They will hit today.

Ej will practice today for the first time, not at the point he can take every rep but confident he will help saturday.

Motta cleared to play.

Kap out for season, due to knee injury. Very unusual injury. Detached MCL not torn.

Tommy is fine.

With Kap out, great flexibility with Hounshell and Kona in the mix. Tuitt is able to play inside and outside. If Johnson can provide good minutes everything should be okay.

Although Kap will be missed with his experience

Very little talking about last years game. The players know what happened.

The night game was a great atmosphere. Very electric, fans were great. Just did not perform on the field.

Preperation last week is not what Kelly expected.

Preperation for Kelly is how he goes about practicing. it is about where is you head at when you are there. Something he is not use to a bye week and break at the same time.

The players are use to getting up for practicing.

It is Kellys job to get the players ready. It showed on the field. Everyone needs to take responsibilty though

Kelly was looking for a read on his players yesterday. Alot of the guys had to run yesterday for different reasons. They all had the right attitude. they need that disicpline and structure.

Very disciplined day yesterday, they were more into it than last week.

Thought about using timeouts, just never felt the right situation. By the down and distance and such.

They never gave up just never had the right time.

Kelly wants to know if they will ever talk about Navy.

Kiffin did call and apologize but it didn't effect Kelly. The comments.

When they go onto the field, the players will have recall from the Army and Air Force game to prepare for Navy. They will feel more comfortable.

The young players know it is a different scheme but they still have to be aggressive.

RB is very competitive, Jonas has been great. Cierre did not play great last week.

Gray has gained more time by his play.

GAIII as a kick returner. His ability to seperate at that second level. He has open end speed. No substitute for that, has great vision.

THe combination of all those things help him at being a kick returner.

Hurray for Gray! Love Wood (keep your minds of out the gutter) but Gray has earned himself more carries at Wood's expense.

Kelly only gets 20 hours with his players. But he is sure they want revenge from last year but Kelly doesn't see it because they don't talk about it.

They talk about having good practices

Thought about doing something for Declan because it has been a year. But they are focused on the more recent passing of Xavier Murphy.

But they are going to try and do a complete look back on the year memorial

Declan case has been talked about alot. You never forget it. But blame should not be pointed at anyone. Just in terms of loss and making sure it doesn't happen again.

The new Navy QB ran the system very well. Nothing changes in preperation because it will always be the same.

Navy has seen every possible scheme, so they know what to do on 3rd down 4 down. They have seen everything and run their system.

If you can't get off blocks you will have trouble

There is alot of carry over from Army and Air Force in preperation.

If they can get off to a good start then running the ball will be a big factor

Navy's fullback is very athletic, big and physical. Makes it very difficult inside and out.

Defend big plays and keep points down. Does not care about yardage because option teams will get yardage. It is irrelevent.

Point of emphasis for younger players. They need to be aggressive still but need to desciplined

Unacceptable to get a personal foul and give up 15 yards because then you mess up the flow of the game. Aaron Lynch is young and just needs to learn.
