Antwan Wellington

Does anyone remember Antwan Wellington and if so when did he play at Notre Dame? The reason I am asking, he is the head coach at Coldwater High School and we are scheduled to play them in a couple of weeks. When talking with the A.D. he mentioned that he played at Notre Dame and he had brought a lot of new ideas to the program. Just curious because there are not a lot of ND fans around here, much less former players.

Can't find much on him but it looks like he was on the team in 1996 as a LB. He transferred to Alabama State in 2000 and was part of the D-Line. I can't find any stats. Originally from Memphis. Gives you a little info. Sorry I couldn't do more.


EDIT: This is all info on Antoine Wellington. I assume thats who you are taking about just has a different way of spelling it.

Thanks. He is evasive. I have been trying to get in touch with him to swap film for our game. I was beginning to think he was a ghost. I haven't been able to get him at school. The cell number listed is non-working. I am thinking I may just take the Driver Ed car over and swap during school one day. It would be a win-win. I get a day off. I can catch him at work and get the film. Ha


You found more than I could. I couldn't find anything on his playing days at ND. The AD was talking about the big ND ring he wore, so I figured he must have been there
