Ratings don't have much value until the end of the season, and even then they can be ridiculous. Remember 1993: Notre Dame beats Florida State, and Florida State is named No. 1 in the AP and coaches final polls over No. 2 Notre Dame. Duh! We need a shorter season (nine or 10 games) and then a 16-team or 32-team tournament. Trusting sportswriters and or coaches to tell us who the champion is, is nuts.

One thing i dont like about the this weeks top 25 is Mich before GT. Alot of people were saying the offense would never be this good at in a real conference well guess what iti s and they are running harder and stronger every week.

There's no #30 or #32 ranking, in a Top 25 poll. You are either ranked 1-25, or you are unranked.

Sorry, I know you are just trying to be positive, but this is what teams that are mediocre do: they make up a ranking, so that the can claim it. It drives me nuts. I'd just prefer that ND fans be above such behavior.

I agree 100%

According to these stats, their D is not so good

Here's their total defense in their four games...

South Dakota - 368 yards (184 pass, 184 rush)
TCU - 410 yards (206 pass, 204 rush)
Tennessee State - 394 yards (206 pass, 188 rush)
Navy - 466 yards (132 pass, 334 rush)

Their biggest DL weighs 260 pounds. Their CBs are 5'10" and 6'0".
The service academy kids are always smaller, but they still manage to give us fits on the field.
