How do put into words the value of this man-wow would I like to see him be somehow involved in the Notre Dame recruiting seen. How could you tell him you arent choosing Notre Dame. With all the crap that goes on in recruiting these men should be highlighted as Notre Dame men. Alan Page is a Notre Dame treasure.

My Notre Dame player Mount Rushmore-Page/Gipp/Montana/Hornung. 4 completely different eras and yes I understand the 25 other legends I am leaving off. From the 4 horsemen to Lujack to Conner to Huarte and Hanratty. Odd thing is that only 1 Heisman in the bunch and I gotta leave off my favorite McAfee out of respect to Gipp. As far as recruiting goes I understand Alan Page is shall we say busy but there should be a way to get him involved within the rules.

If there was ever an athlete who earned the term "role-model", Alan Page would be that man. On a side note, were from the same neck of the woods (him slightly west of Canton, me slightly east).

I had the pleasure of meeting him and listening to him speak a year ago. Very interesting guy, and an inspiring example of what ND should aspire to.

I second this! I grew up slightly north of Canton, and everyone in Stark County knew the story of Alan Page. It used to really p*ss my tOSU fan friends off, when I would point out that ND gave the world Joe Montana and Alan Page, while tOSU handed the world Archie Griffin and Art Schlister.
