So my girl and I are taking to tops off (the jeep too) the jeep and driving up to silver lake tomorrow to do some dune riding. I have been two tracking and what not but have never taken it out on the sand.

Does anyone or has anyone ever experienced taking their 4x4's on sand and if so can you give me some words of wisdom/tips etc etc?

(like for instance, I probly should not toke up before doing it correct???) I KID I KID. lol

Don't take your foot off the accelerator. It's difficult the start back up after stopping/braking.

Hmmmmm. That's a good point. I never would have thought about that. I did hear that you have to deflate your tires to at least 8-10lbs. That makes sense too since you will have more rubber on the sand.

Yep, that'l make the tire wider. Wider tires equal more traction, although I'm not sure how much psi to deflate to.

make sure 1 vehicle is in the "clear" while the other one goes thru sand....in case one vehicle needs a pull out. also make sure you have a good chain....also does any of these vehicles have a winch? Hope so....save alot of heart ache.

Have fun...be safe. No SMOKIN and 4 wheeling! ;)
