Has anyone used the golf course parking for $40 yet? It seems like a good alternative if you can't get a Joyce Pass and don't feel like walking from the North Lot. But I'm worried that it probably fills up pretty quickly. And I don't want to get shut out and then stuck in traffic. Any info would be great.

I've never parked on the golf course. However, there are alternatives; White field is half the price & there is a shuttle provided.

If you get to campus early enough and don't mind a little stroll, check out the side streets south of campus (Napoleon Blvd, St. Vincent St, etc).

Traffic patterns around campus have changed, so keep that in mind. This link provides add'l info:

Maybe it's just me, but White Field is the way to go.

I've been parking in the White Field for years. I like the easy in/easy out convenience. But I'm going with a group of people this Saturday and was just wondering what people thought of the new golf course parking. It's a lot closer to the Stadium and we may want to meet up with some people in the Joyce lot. Just wondering if anyone had parked on the golf course yet?

I did last year once. There's nothing really special about it other than it's definitely closer than the White field. No shuttle required, but is still a bit of a stroll to get to the stadium. I don't think that it's worth the $40/vehicle charge. Then again, I think that the $20/vehicle charge for the White field is a little bit too high also! I would rather spend my money on beer and brats than for just letting my vehicle sit idle!

When the Burke golf course was used for golf, we used to park in the golf course lot, play golf and then go to the game. The main advantage of the lot was easy egress to the highway. The walk to the stadium takes about the same time as from the White lot, but it is through the heart of the campus.

Thanks for the response. Yeah the $40 price tag is high. How tough is it getting in and out of that lot if you don't mind me asking? Another positive of the White field is that you can get off the tollway and basically be cracking a beer in less than 5 minutes. I don't want to wait 30+ minutes to get into the golf course lot for tailgating.

I think we're going to try for the golf course parking tomorrow. I'll update everybody on how it goes.

The golf course was pretty nice. We were in the North section that you access from Dorr Rd. Real easy in and easy out. Although I could imagine if you hung around for awhile getting out could have been a pain. Tailgating was nice. Not everybody around us was tailgating so we had plenty of room to set up and play bags, ect. Walk to the stadium takes about 10 minutes. Definitely shorter than the White Field. I think this is a good alternative to the Joyce lot if you can't get a pass and don't want to scalp one for $80. But for anybody who enjoys the North Lot I wouldn't say this is that much of an upgrade.

How is the Golf course for tailgating these days? Tailgated in white lot (north part) last week and it seemed quiet.
