Alot of positives in this article.
I'm having a hard time finding any negatives about Kelly.

Oh, I'm sure there will be complaints (some valid, some not) once the season begins.

Personally, I'll give Kelly the same benefit of the doubt that I've viewed all first year ND head coaches. All I realistically want during the inaugural season is for the players to be sound fundamentally and improve from game to game.

Holtz's first season is a good example... even though he went 5-6 in 1986, I had a very good feeling going into 1987.

So do I. Kelly was/is the best fit to turn the program around. Frankly, I didn't understand some fan's obsession over Stoops & Meyer last November when the HC position became available.

I to wanted Kelly. I think a lot of people were worried about recruiting, but he coached at effing Central Michigan and Cincinnati. No elite recruits are going to want to go and play there so that was very unfair to judge.

In my opinion Meyer is slimy. Stoops is a bit overrated. I think Kelly is the best fit for this program.

i agree. even though the boys improved under weis, it was a very slow progression (too slow). hopefully, with good coaching....better results will occur on the pitch.
