Randy Edsall and Brian Kelly v. Rich Rodriguez | mgoblog
The thread basically states that Rich Rodriguez has the advantage over Brian Kelly and Notre Dame because he beat him in their only head-to-head matchup. The OP cites this as impressive because Kelly's Cincinatti team was 10-3, altogether failing to mention that:
1. This was Kelly's first year with the program
2. Rich Rod was at WVU and not Michigan
3. WVU was 12-1 and beat Oklahoma by 20 in their BCS bowl.
4. WVU had Pat White and Steve Slaton
The OP goes on to say that WVU put up 295 rushing yards and 4 TDs (again, with superstar senior quarterback Pat White and speedy Steve Slaton) on Cincinatti's loaded defense of two-star players as another reason why Michigan's experience-less running back corps will run all over Notre Dame's defense.
Another poster chimes in by saying that their offensive line is "beastly", echoing a similar earlier statement from another Michigan fan that they have two "potential All-American" linemen. Seriously, these people are bigger homers than our entire fanbase combined. At least we have the ability to think realistically.
This is by far the silliest thread I have yet seen on Michigan vs. Notre Dame 2010 or comparing the two coaches.
