Notre Dame top 25

Hey guys I was just wondering when you guys think that notre dame will hop up into the top 25 AP poll.. I think it will take wins from the first 4 games that might put us into the top 25 due to our strength of schedule.. what do you guys think?

We kill purdue and beat michigan by more than 3 and we just crack the top 25 if not then a road win at MSU would seal it

Ok i will be extremely honest here, not trying to offend any ND fan, ok as we know, the BC$ is all about money, and a 9-3 ND team would bring in A LOT more money than a 11-1 Cincinnati or a 12-0 MAC team, ND will has a BCS advantage, this is not a bad thing for Irish fans but it is something people should be aware of.

It used to bother me but you know what we are special No one is more loved or hated then this school if we get overrated good we earned it. I really believe that college football is a better place with us ranked in top 25 . I really do.

It's been mentioned already, but yeah, it won't take much for us to get into the Top 25. If we beat Purdue and Michigan then we'll probably be in. Becuase, well, we're Notre Dame.

I think sometimes that works against us. The AP poll likes to overlook ND. Perhaps, because we are ND and the Bowls love us because of the draw, and some of the pollsters don't like it, therefore they do their part to slight us. The pollsters are are at times shameless. Last year for example

The Washington Huskies beat USC 16-13 at the time USC fell from #3 to #12
The South Carolina Gamecocks beat Ole Miss 16-10 and Ole Miss fell from #4 to #21

South Carolina may not be a typical powerhouse, but they were a much better team than Washington. Perhaps neither Ole Miss or USC should have been ranked that high in the first place. However, both teams were undefeated when they lost, and of course no one could tell how they would finish the season. Even though we are a big draw at bowl games, there are a lot of pollsters that have a chip on their shoulder in regards to ND.

If you take the average of all of the preseason publications, Notre Dame is hovering somewhere around the 28th spot.

Which means we'll probably be within 10 spots of being ranked by the AP when the season starts. I don't think there will be enough of a shake up for the Irish to get in with a win over Purdue, but definitely a 2-0 start and a win over Michigan will get ND very close.

I think the odds are extremely low that a 3-loss ND team goes to a BCS bowl. And to be honest, I don't really feel like we should go with a 9-3 record.

There would have to be a ton of parity for the Irish to even be in position to be ranked high enough to get in too.

And do we really want to put up with all the stupid haters who wouldn't shut up for YEARS that we got in with 3 losses (even though conference members have got in with worse?).

I'd much rather go to a nice second tier bowl, because I think that's what we would deserve.

i agree, the reason people say were overrated is because we get these rankings and then we drop games, lets just win this year, the rankings will take care of themselves
