While Courtney Watson was clearly the best linebacker of this decade, my favorite was Goolsby.

I always thought Brandon Hoyte was very underrated but Watson was a beast

Hoyte was indeed underrated. I remember he had something like 31 tackles in the first two games of the 2005 season.

The thing I remember about Watson was that he and Shane Walton forced turnovers like no tomorrow.

Voted Courtney....but always loved Rocky. Kid hit like a semi rollin' downhill.

Had to vote for my main man Hoyte. The guy was a freak on defense and always seemed to be in the right position.

Brian Smith and Mo Crum, though i loved them as players, very often found themselves in the wrong position, costing the team.

surprising to see Mo Crum getting so much love. Seems most of our defensive polls have 1 guy running away with it
