Question about "The Irish Guard"

I was reading Wiki-pedia today about the history and tradition of the Irish Guard.

Here is an excerpt:

"The Irish Guard was formed in 1949 as a part of the University of Notre Dame Marching Band. The uniform of the guard was based on the pattern of the traditional Scottish kilt and incorporates the unique Notre Dame tartan. When wearing the entire uniform, a member of the guard stands eight feet tall to the top of the shako. They serve as body guards for the Fighting Irish Marching Band as seen at the USC game, November 28, 2008."

Well I have been looking on line for what happened on that date - was there a Beat Down put on some USC cheerleaders by the Irish Guard? I need to know. What happened?

It was the great band brawl of 1948, the USC Band raped and pilaged the ND band, it was such a beating that they almost banned USC from College Football. There were trumbones stuck in places I can't mention, tubas were stuffed over peoples heads, trumpets were wrapped around people's necks...it was truly an ugly sight..........I think the Leprachaun had unmentionable things done to him by the USC horse.....really just a dark day in college football.....

please this is a family friendly band, although its safe to say we got them back in '51. That Trojan still has bowel problems...

Not to mention they still have yet to find where the game ball is..... rumor has it, the U$C trojan still has severe irritable bowl syndrome......

It was fitting that the Trojan Horse had a few Irish drumsticks and a clarinet "hidden" inside him...after what he did to the leprechaun, he deserved it.
