not sure if it's true or not but my buddy told me it wouldn't happen because the skins don't have a first round draft pick in april

Yeah Shanahan should be the next head coach I would assume. They've actually looked not pathetic this year unlike what their record would indicate. I think Clausen could be successful there. St. Louis, San Francisco, and Washington are the three places I would want to see Clausen go.

I pray that he'll be a Niner, and I also pray Weis is our OC by then. Clausen is a reality depending on how bad Carolina does. As for the Redskins, I think they're drafting Bradford.

Redskins should not be looking at Clausen. Clausen would be set up to fail in Washington without Chris Samuels protecting him.

Couple of facts to throw a monkey wrench in your plans :)

  1. Joey T, ( who is one of the coolest players around when you meet him) is good buddies with Dan Snyder(satan) and Vinny Cerrato ( Satan's best friend). I have HEARD that he is pushing them hard to look at Clausen.
  2. Vinny Cerrato was a involved with recruiting at ND when we won the NC in 88 and is still a big fan , he flew to Pitt to watch that game ( and see Clausen). Here on a local radio show that Vinny does he had his good buddy Mel Kiper on ( who is also a big ND fan) Kiper lead the discussion and his opinion that he thought JC was a great fit.
  3. Shanny ( good Irish name) also is boys with Cerrato from their days in San Francisco.

Samuels may come back but I agree that he is probably done. I must say that Levi Jones has played lights out since getting picked up. He is no pro bowler but could serve as a stop gap. That said we have not had a franchise QB since our last domer Joey and we won't pass up a chacne to grab him due to Oline issues. Even though perhaps we should just concentrate on oline Snyderatto want the splashy pick.

Levi Jones has an injury history aswell.

Call me crazy but Jason Campbell is not the reason why the Skins are in their current position, there is no chemistry on the team, there are plenty of guys who have no heart, and there is serious problems with the coaching staff and front office.

Peyton Manning could not make them better. He'd probably be pissed at how many losers he has around him.

Clausen hopefully goes to Minnesota or Seattle.

Campbell is not the only reason but he is most def a big reason, he is not a starting nfl qb. He is a nice guy though.

Since minny will have one of the last picks in the draft and already have J david booty Sage Rosenfels and T jackson on the depth chart chances are a bit slim. Seattle could work out although I think they will have too low of a pick.

I understand he isn't a starting NFL QB but hes not making the Redskins worse with him starting. Hes had bad games and lost, but hes also had some very good games.

JD Booty got cut, T Jack is on his way out. Clausen needs at least 1 year, 2 would be ideal for him to develop. Favre would be a good teacher and it would allow Clausen the chance to develop like Rodgers did in Green Bay.

Seattle has 2 1st Round Picks. Denver's pick along with their own. If Clausen is sitting on the board between the 15-30 range they should take him. They must draft a QB of the future.

Don't think for a minute that Favre would want to tutor another QB. He wanted nothing to do with Rodgers. My bet is that he ends up in St. Louis or Cleveland.

I think that it will be pretty interesting to see where Clausen goes in the draft. He has good size, good arm strength, very good accuracy, good mechanics, won't have good timed speed but has enough speed to by time in the pocket and pick up a few yards if needed. He has also shown great improvements each year and there is no reason why that shouldn't continue. From what I have seen and read he will most likely be competing with Bradford and Locker ( if he declares) for the top QB spot. I could easily see him going top 10, I just hope for his sake he does not end up in a place like cleveland or oakland.

Clausen will be first QB taken mark my words...Thats all I have to say. Most Likely the Rams, if not Cleveland. Although I think Cleveland has more glaring weaknesses, Quinn today looked decent to me when had time to throw. Receivers dropped a bunch of passes, I don't think they give up on him. I could see them drafting offensive line or Eric Berry early.

Seriously there is NO chance he is there by 15 just no way possible. Sanchez was not half the qb JC has been and he did not slip far , neither will jimmy. That's not saying they can't package to trade up but who knows maybe Jimmy looks like garbage at the combine. His ability to throw the deep out will be tested there /
