I am completely ashamed that I live in the same city as those assholes. I dont care if my language gets me banned, but that student section last night was a f'n joke. For those of you who were at the game, what were your thoughts on the continuous "Fuck the Irish" chants? What was Pitt's chancellor thinking listening to that standing on the sidelines? I understand it is a football game, and there is going to be foul language and whatnot. But come on, that was completely classless. There were little kids in the stands. Like I said I know there are going to be instances where that type of language is used, but for the student section to continually chant that was classless and disgraceful. They are supposed to represent the University of Pittsburgh, and all they acted like pigs. I have two cousins who went to Pitt, one of whom was at the game with me, and she was disgusted.

I went to the Sugar Bowl in 2006, in the heart of the bayou against LSU. And those fans were ruthless. But compared to the behavior of the Pitt students last night, they were choir boys.

The thing they should be ashamed of is that the stadium is only half full, except when the Irish come to town. Then every bandwagon Pitt fan shows up to heckle the Irish.

I could not agree more PADOMERNUT. I am actually writing a letter to the Post Gazette. Watch elderly ND fans get MF'd is appalling. I had one fan walking behind say F ND to everyone that past until finally I snapped and as my daughter said gave him a verbal beating that rivaled any physical beating someone could get. That is why they are Pitt. 1 good season every 10 years and they think they are a powerhouse. Let me tell you what, from what I saw last night, if they make it to a BCS they will get clobbered. It will be epic, they want to play Alabama, Good Luck.

They didn't need to chant that--the officials and replay officials were taking care of fucking Notre Dame with no encouragement needed from the Pitt students.

I've been to over 200 ND home football games and don't remember any vulgar chants??? Now, basketball... but Calhoun asks for it.

ive been to over 40 nd home games over the past 25 years and i can assure you that the nd student section, in some instances, has not been above equally vulgar chants.

I have been going to games for over 20 years and not once could I tell you that the entire student section, in unison, has said anything like that.
