The article doesn't say directly, but I get the feeling that the coach, Aaron Peppers, didn't go to a four-year college based on this article. He's both a police officer and a head football coach. He may be an Illini fan, but it's a pretty interesting article nonetheless. Sounds like a good guy.
Maywood police officer also serves as Proviso East football coach - Chicago Tribune
I was reading another article about Proviso East as well, this may have been mentioned before, and Coach Peppers said that while Prater is very, very impressive, the hard thing for Cooper is he is playing almost every down. Prater is only going one way, while Cooper is playing O, D, and returns both punts and kicks. The coach said he feels bad not allowing him rest, but with a team that has only one win thus far, he doesn't have much of a choice.
The more I read about this guy, the more excited I am about him really a great prospect and a good kid.
