True, but if people say that Clausen hasnt played anyone, then Bill Stull REALLY hasnt played anyone.

Nothing about Pitt really scares me. They have played Youngstown State, Buffalo, Navy, NC State, Louisville, UCONN, Rutgers and USF. If their stats weren't inflated, I'd be shocked.

Their only loss came to NC State, whose only other two wins were against Murray State and Gardner Webb. (WTF?). NCS has lost to Wake Forrest and Duke, and they got waxed by Boston College 52-10.

Pitt is a paper tiger, and if ND plays well, they should beat the living s&%# out of them.

I think the worse thing to do in college football is do the "they beat them but lost to them who beat them by 40" game. Its just irrelevant and never corellates to real life. Each week is a new week. Things arent easy to predict. What one team did against a common opponent means nothing.

Didn't think I did that, but understand why the BC reference would have led you to that conclusion. To be clear, I was pointing out that Pitt has played almost nobody, lost to a team that beat absolutely nobody (and who got waxed by the only quality team they played so far). Everyone was discussing their QB's rating and the RB's yardage, so I pointed out that those stats were piled up against inferior teams. I don't think we'll win by 40, but think we should win this one easily.

I still think Stull sucks. I already know about all his accomplishments this season. Still think he is garbage. And yeah if we play well we should pound them.

Their Running Back is pretty good though. Doesn't seem like we have a problem stopping the run however. Baldwin is a stud, as far as I remember... wanted to come here but didn't get his scores up high enough. Should be interesting. Hopefully both teams win this weekend and Pitt stays ranked at the end of the season only losing to the Irish.

As you have seen, you don't need an All-American to light up our secondary. I believe we are a better team and unfortunately our team tends to play to the level of their competition. With that said the Irish should come out ready to go against Pitt. One thing that has bothered me is how bad we seem to be in the redzone.

I think alot of that has to do with the absence of Michael Floyd. Hopefully that wont be an issue come Nov. 14th

I'd like to see more Golden Tate out of the backfield, in the red zone.

Our offense has been really bad in the redzone. Cost us the Michigan game, and cost us in tying it up in the USC game. We haven't been good down there very much this season, because if we could finish off some of these drives we could really start blowing some teams out. We should be able to finish down there, because we have one of the most accurate throwers in college and a 6'6" TE. We have really struggled to run the ball down there, why not try the wildcat down there.
