When healthy I agree. You gotta love seeing Floyd on the bench in his full pads knowing he is not going to play. The guy is such a team player. I'm looking forward to next year having them both healthy for a full season.

Next year will be fun if the big three (Clausen will stay) are intact. Golden Tate along with Floyd-wow. Rudolph involved more to pass than protect.

Without a doubt. Tate is a beast. Floyd is just as good when healthy. It really sucks he went down. I hope that Jimmy stays, so we have a chance to bring home that national championship next year.

Jones is a flop... is it his 30 yards a game receiving or his touchdown that impresses you. With Ingrem (sp?) he should be open all day... I think he has more fumles than TDs. Until Yesterday he has 2 receptions per game, then jumped to 2.5 - he is averaging 12 yards per reception!!!! Maybe he'll get some stats against North Texas, ala: UM against Deleware State.

It can't be a WR talk without Julio's name coming up. Floyd will have more yards then Julio this year, and Michael missed what 6 1/2 games. A.J. Green is good, but he doesn't have the ability to take over a game like both Floyd and Tate.

i think floyd already and still has more yards than Julio and Floyd hasn't played since michigan st. i think if i read correctly yesterday during the Alabama game that Julio is ranked like 350 something in receiving yards.

he's got 20 receptions, about 240 some odd yards in 8 games. He had 7 for 56 yesterday. But I think he fumbled which set up the "near/blocked" Tenn. FG - or at least one of the n
"near/blocked FGs.

Okay, he's not a flop, however, he'll have to have a hell of a year next year to be in the same sentence as Floyd.

julio jones is also in a run heavy offense, but id take floyd over jones and green any day. Theres a lot of good receivers playing right now but when you have two legit home run threats in tate and floyd on the field at the same time, oohh boy. Ask nevada how that went.

It would be great to get a anchor to hold down the right side of the o-line. I'm sorry, if I remember correctly, Rudolph lines up in the slot on the safety, and the line had no answer. I saw that and thought - man are they confident here. Thought it was a good sign.
Later in the second quarter #86 lined up in the slot position (on defense) - unapposed - no one in front of him. I was screaming my head off. ND called a time out.

If Rudolph wan't needed blocking so much...

If only Sam Young wasn't such a monumental bust...

Julio Jones doesnt really maximize his skill set either. There was a game earlier this year where they tried the fade to him 3 times in the endzone and did not come up with any of them. AJ Green is a great WR, Briscoe of Kansas is very fundamentally sound, and Williams from USC has great tools. Still that is 2 of the top 5 WR's in the country on one team.

Demaryius Thomas is on a run heavy offense at GT and he has 747 yards. Julio is far from a great WR he is still living off of hype. At some point he will have to prove something on the field.

true, isnt demaryius a senior though? and like the only reciever on that team, he is an excellent reciever, and he seems to be more a part of gts gameplan than julio is to alabama.

Alabama fans are still using double coverage as an excuse as to why Julio isn't producing.

I went on a message board to ask them about this (seeing as how Golden Tate has put up almost 500 yards with the same coverage schemes) and they said, "Julio had 7 catches tonight, you moron." Some people are blind.

Its hard to say if they are the best 2. They are great, but they also have a great QB and a great offensive system which some other WR do not have.

I will say I think they would make by far the best WR combo in the coutry, and no one comes close.

Double coverage on Julio (Washington, Louisiana Lafayette, Vanderbilt)? - hell, the whole other defense - USC's - couldn't shut down Tate.
