The "USC Owns ND" hat

I heard about this story during the CW presser yesterday. The hat was sent to him along with a letter containing derogatory comments about his special needs daughter. It just baffles me that someone would do something like this in the name of sports.

just goes to show how classless usc fans truly are. ridiculous. i hope that gives our boys a little more giddy up in the stride. i don't want them to let that amp 'em up too much and they get burned out by the 2nd quarter. just enough fuel to get 'em pissed off to settle the score with these dirt bags.

i've been to a usc game when they played va tech back a few years.....i saw enough of the usc fans that were starting fights left and right. so my general feelings of them being dirt bag fans is well deserved.

even though this is an isolated incident with one of those dirt bags committing this despicable act, they are all lumped into one big bag of dog poo for me. you will never change my opinion on that.

Exactly. I remember back in '93 when FSU came to South Bend and they all had FSU hats that were green and printed with gold FSU. Got our team fired up. That was all in good competitive trash talking fun. Just leave a child, let alone a special needs child, out of the discussion. That is just classless. Even for SC fans, that is bad.

When I heard him say that in the presser it really made me sad. You know it is a shame that some people take this sport so seriously as to insult someones children. I'm very VERY passionate about ND football but have never even considered doing or saying something like that about another rivals family member. Just horrible!

I have no problem with the hat (its hard to argue it especially after the past few years) but leave the kid out of it. Whoever sent it is a huge coward. I know a couple of people with mentaly disabled kids and whenever i hear this crap it just flat out pisses me off.
