Clearly (in my opinion) against Purdue we did not have a wide receiver step up, granted that Armado Allen didn't play and Clausen had limited playing time. We still need a wide receiver to step up against Washington, who will step up this week?

Duval Kumara?
Robby Parrish?
Shaquelle Evans?
Other?

By the way how do you do a poll?? Clausen is expected to start against WA right??

You forgot "None of the above", which is your answer, I think, unfortunately. The guys on the bench seem to be capable of making a play here and there, but not with any consistency.

I'm gonna go ahead and say Golden Tate.

He seems to step up every once and a while.

i might get linched for this but im gonna say shaq he has the speed and the body to get away from defenders. He also has shown some light in his play making ability. he just needs some seriouse in game experience

I think it will be Parris on the slant and sitting in the zone for a bunch of 1st downs with Tate stretching the field and Rudolph down the middle.

this may be a reach, but I think Stewart gets a shot at wideout. If and when he catches the ball, CBs will be too terrified to tackle him. It could happen!?!?!?!?!

He might have better hands than Kamara at this point.

I hope to not see Kamara on the field for a long, long time. Hopefully someone else lines up besides him, anyone for that matter. We're already playing Shaq some of the time, so continue getting him some snaps IMO. Parris really came through last week, so I hope he gets a shot at some point as well.

DUVAL KAMARA.

He is way passed due. It is almost to the point where he has been such a disappointment that he is due to have a BIG game. I pray that he uses his god given talents and shines in this game. If I'm not mistaken he is taller than Floyd.

DUVAL, stop being a pussy and fucking go after that ball. We all want you to shine. STEP UP.

I drank some of the Kamara Kool-Aid after seeing him catch some balls in person at the Duke game in 07. I even went out-on-a-limb last week, and predicted him to be a gamer /step-up player of the week. What did he do? Stuck it up the ass, and pulled the trigger till it went "click" like the Jesus, but not in a good way.

I'm officially done betting on Kamara, unless it's to fail miserably.

I think Shaq will catch atleast 4 balls saturday. Weis raves about his speed and potential. He is in a great position to grab some reps and make some plays.

I was thinking the same thing, they kind are just working him in slowly which is fine. No need to rush, but I have a feeling he's going to be catching a deep ball for 6 this weekend...

To make it even more interesting, Shaq's deep ball is hauled in from the arm of Dayne Crist.

I don't know that we allow Mr Crist to throw the ball, unless its some kind of gimmick play. Now wouldn't that be interesting...:jawdrop:

Actually, he's a junior. And as much as I'd like to see him get benched in favor of Shaq, the truth as far as those procedure penalties go is that one was a completely bogus call...the refs just blew it, according to coaches who know the rule, and the other was borderline at best. So as mad as I was watching the game, I give him a pass now that I know the truth about those plays. I much more upset that he continues to drop passes...

woops....my bad..thanks for correcting me on that. And I agree, the dropped balls are a big deal, I was just frustrated last weekend when we had a few big plays erased by the procedure calls.

I'd say Shaq did. Seems to be developing a nice hitch route like Golden started to last year. 4 catches for 34 yards was nice to see. I don't think Parris/Kamara's roles will expand much more beyond where they are now. And did anyone see Deion Walker out there? I only saw Goodman.

Shaq had a really nice game. Caught everything thrown his way and made some things happen.

I hope...NO. I EXPECT him to have a big breakout game against USC.

would be nice but i would honestly take 4 for 34 every game for the rest of the year...just nice to have another receiver for the D to worry about

He had a good game. No one is going to match Floyd, but Evans and Parris both played well.
