The only people i have heard have beef with his dive are Michael Wilbon (hater) and MSU fans. I was on the Rivals boards and alot of people found it prettty awesome. MSU fans, however, were complaining that he could have hurt someone and that it was unecessary showboating, but irts cool to plant your flag on our 50 yard line

ESPN ripped on him to days ago. I have had numerous scUM fans say that it was unneccesary, one called him a "Punk" even. Anywhere you read about it online, it says something negative about his dive unless you are on a ND site.

The media and college football fans in general LEAP at any given opportunity to make Notre Dame football look bad. This is a good example.

The funniest part of this video is that the corner lined up over Tate actually blitzed on the play. WTF was Michigan State's DC thinking, trying to cover Tate with a Safety when everyone knew ND was going to be slinging it into the endzone? LMAO

Well, next time he catches a ball in that corner of the endzone, he'll just have to not slow down and crush some band kid (preferably from usc)... then we can see how people complain about that.

Nice.

It seemed to me the MSU band made no attempt to get out of the way, and he made the split second choice (that only a great athlete can do) to take a leap rather than smash them.

I love it! The longer video set to music has 60,000+ views and another video of just the play has 120,000+ views. Wonder if it would get to a million haha. that would be awesome

I was googling "golden tate swan dive" and came across an article called: GOlden Tate tell Chad Ochocinco "Suck it, You'll Never Top This" lmfao

I, too, noticed the huge amount of views that swan dive is getting.

Every time I play NCAA 10, and I'm about to make a long pass, that piano rift from the opening always plays in my head.

lol

The dive just made ESPiN's #1 Not Top Ten Play of the Week. They were laughing at him, said he face planted into the turf, don't dive into the opponent's band.

I think it shoulda made the top 10 plays. At least the top 10 plays of not taking out a tuba player from the opponents band....
