Last night's practice was only open to students. However, there is a lot of stuff that those students reported that got around to us fans. I found all of this compiled information on DomerDomain.

* Starters didn't participate in the scrimmage. This was presumably to let them rest, keep them healthy, and get rid of a little soreness.

* Chris Stewart played with the second team offense.

* John Goodman was catching everything.

* Shaq appears to be the third or fourth receiver. He did well in the 1-on-1s.

* Two more deep touchdowns for Golden Tate. Both in the 1-on-1s.

* Gary Gray and Robert Blanton stood out. So did Floyd and Roby Toma.

* Crist sucked balls.

* Jonas Gray had an 80 yard touchdown run.

* Defense outperformed the offense. However, no starters played the scrimmage.

* Theo looked awesome.

* Both kickers struggled. However, Tausch looks like he has the edge on kickoffs.

* Calabrese crushed somebody and came up "hollering". This fired up both the defense and the crowd.

A few other observations:

Blanton did look good, but he got burned BAD in 1 v 1 against Floyd. Golden was his usual ridiculous self.

I definitely don't recall Jonas having an 80 yard TD run, but he looked decent.

The 2nd team offense drove down the field for a TD, but the 3rd team defense outperformed the 3rd team offense.

Theo did look very good, but he muffed a punt.

At the end, the freshmen players came over and sang the fight song and alma mater.
