haha, probably not true, but hysterical nontheless.

Sources: Paulus may play QB for Michigan | Truth&Rumors | FanNation

The Green Bay Packers aren't the only ones who are interested in Greg Paulus. According to sources close to the situation, the former Duke point guard was in Ann Arbor on Tuesday meeting with Michigan football coach Rich Rodriguez about the possibility of playing this season for the Wolverines. The 6-foot-1 Paulus, who was the Gatorade National Player of the Year as a standout quarterback at Christian Brothers Academy in New York, has one year of eligibility left for football after playing four years of basketball at Duke. He watched Michigan practice Tuesday afternoon and could fit in with Rodriguez's spread offense. The Wolverines don't have a clear-cut starting quarterback, and Paulus could come in and play immediately.

hahahahahahhahhaha!!!

The rumour also was he was looking at ND as well, so don't laugh too hard.
As a side note DickRod would be a moron to pull this, because it does not help the team one bit. In another year they'll be starting fresh at QB anyways...

To look at this objectively, its obvious Paulus is ridiculously talented. Few athletes can come out of high school with the option of playing quarterback at Notre Dame or point guard at Duke (arguably the two most prestigious positions in their respective sport at the collegiate level). That being said, I do not believe Paulus will successfully transition back into the college game in such a short period of time.

He certainly still possesses the leadership abilities given his behavior while at Duke when Nolan Smith took his point guard spot. But playing division 1 football after so much time off is difficult. Throw in a Big Ten schedule and its nearly impossible. The kid has talent but I do not know how far that goes.

What does this mean for us? I for one hope he starts. With the talent returning on the defensive side of the ball we should be able to shut him down especially considering it will only be his second game back. This would probably make for a down year in Ann Arbor again while Dick redshirts his freshman.

Go Irish!

Great point TSE.

Im a duke bball fan and a huge Greg Paulus fan, so this doesnt suprise me. but from what i have heard he will probably try out as a slot WR for Dukes football team. Think about it, this kid has his choice in HS to be the QB at ND or the PG for Duke. Amazing athlete, a winner, and one hell of a competitor. So calling it a new low is actually not true at all, he is a good athlete wherever he goes.
