I LOVE that one. I also like that who did Brooks leave in the dust, as he turned the corner? None other than ND's very own (now) Corwin Brown. Listen to the replay on the video, and you will hear them identify Michigan's #20 as Corwin Brown.

Oh what a glorious day. I was at this game. My first ND game in person.

Marc Edwards is still my favorite fullback of all time. The way he played, the crew cut. He was a beast, but he still had good speed and could break off some big runs. Also had good hands as a receiver.

Couldn't agree more GOIrish...Marc Edwards was a man child. Talk about hard to bring down...Anyways hate to be a downer but Gaffney would have given us that threat at fullback...I am by no means comparing him to Edwards though. Would be fun to get a dominant FB though.

It was slightly a different time too...D's are getting so much better and smarter nowadays. One reason for the increase in passing is that running games are getting slowed down left and right...

Athletes of that caliber don't take scholarships to play fullback anymore. That's why it's hard to find fullbacks, on any team, that are athletic enough to make highlight-reel plays these days.
