I'm not all that excited about Cierre Wood yet. A friend of mine is an official in Oxnard, and did one of Cierre's games, this past year. He tells me that the kid is incredibly fast, but not a freshman starter in D-IA. As he put it to me, "I used to do (Concord) De LaSalle games, and I have seen some kids I knew would be starters (and studs) as freshman, in D-IA. And Cierre Wood will be neither a stud, nor a starter."

Ouch. Maybe your friend knows what he is talking about, and more in-depth details, but the film that I saw was quite impressive. Seems like an explosive athlete.
