I don't understand the this commitment for two reasons. If he committed to the Bruins to play corner, this class boasts four corners who rank in the top 40, and last year's class had two in the top 20. If he committed to play running back, UCLA added 3 running backs last year, two of which were ranked in the top 20 (one was Milton Knox whom Weis really wanted). I guess no one said that all football recruits have common sense.

Does he plan doing any track and field at UCLA? It seems a lot of their players do. Their track and field program is excellent.

Yeah, I wrote in this thread or another thread about how UCLA already has 5 (!!!) CB commits from SoCal alone, plus as you said a couple DB's last year, and these guys are all very good. He has to be a RB for them, someone who will fill the role of a Maurice Drew for them. As someone who watched a lot of UCLA games last year, RB is definitely a spot where he'd play earlier than DB.

He wouldn't play early as a DB at ND either, but he would have a chance to play a lot after a redshirt year. He could have also seen the field as a special teams return-man as well. The ONLY way I say this makes any sense is if he was promised to play offense. UCLA isn't USC, so I ain't mad at him at all; I just wonder if he made the right choice as far as PT...
