Indiana Joe, aka the Troll here. It good to know that there are some ND fans who are satisfied with placing in the top 25, or 10 or whatever in the recruiting contest. There is not doubt that there is some talent in this class, but then there has been in the past three years classes as well. I was wondering if you watched any ND games last year. In Trollsville we get NBC (same day coverage) and I did watch. The team was flat, couldn't close the deal and against good competition (USC) had trouble even getting a first down. I don't really care whether you like my humor or not. My question was "where is Weis, I haven't heard or read much about want is going on". Further I indicated that maybe he is looking for a new job. It's a dream of mine and a number of my friends (mainly people who watched the games for the past two seasons).
Good luck to you and remember, there are only 12 months until the next NSD national championship. Oh, by the way, there will also be a college football season somewhere in between and ND home games are carried live on NBC. Watch a couple of them and you might understand my comments.

The reason I ripped you for your first post was because you ripped CW for not getting 'new recruits.' And I ask you again, what the HELL is a 'new recruit'? Are you that ignorant to think that a guy who brought in back-to-back top 5 recruiting classes really doesn't know every recruit out there by Feb. 1st??? I ask you again, did Pete Carroll pick up a 'new recruit' today that nobody, not Rivals, not Scout, not ESPN, not
anybody had heard of? I mean, were you looking for CW to sign some mysterious high schooler from Somalia with a spear and a nose ring that was going to play CB for us? Or maybe you were waiting for Charlie to sign some Russian dude that's he's been stashing in Clausen's basement for 2 years so Sneaky Pete or Urbanski Meyer couldn't find out about him? I still don't get what you were trying to prove with that first post.
See, here's the thing that tells me that a) you have an agenda against CW, and b) you're not very bright: You came on a RECRUITING thread, and tried to bag on CW's coaching. When all you had to do was find one of the oh, I don't know, 79 'Fire CW' threads littered throughout the site. But that would have been too smart. The sad thing is that my fiance is from Indiana (South Bend baby!), and I shudder to think that the both of you were spawned from the same state. Makes me worry about my future kids.
Now, you want to talk about CW's coaching, then fine, NO ONE WILL ARGUE WITH YOU, Einstein. We all saw what you saw, and we all were pissed. Do you really think you're reinventing the wheel by saying all that? But guess what, he's still our coach, he's still the coach who overachieved and took juniors and seniors who couldn't tackle and chew gum at the same time under the previous regime to back-to-back BCS Bowls (where yes, they got blown out by teams we shouldn't have been matched up against), and he's still the coach who got our first bowl win in a thousand years. So I'm going to support him. Yes, he needs to improve, and yes, this is his last year to show us that. But he's made important changes on the staff, he's got a team full of talented sophs and jrs ready to rock'n roll next year, and he's brought in some of the top talent ND has seen in YEARS (Jimmy, Floyd, Smith, Rudolph, TE'O BABY!!!, etc).
And now that he's brought in perhaps the top defensive player in the land, what say you? Is Te'o your definition of a new recruit? Do you realize what an incredible get that was? Devout Mormon, from Hawaii, top LB in the land, coming to a Catholic University in the freezing Midwest instead of US-friggin'-C??????
Here are your new recruits, since obviously you don't follow the game: Watt, Stockton, Wood, Shaq, Calabrese, Zeke, etc. All those guys were being recruited by the top schools in the nation, but CW CLOSED on them so early that nobody talks about them. Imagine if they had been waffling betwene 3 schools and they all chose ND on national signing day? Damn, we'd be throwing CW a parade and asking him to be mayor. And guess what, he already has two 5 stars signed for next year baby, more than any other team in the nation!
So go back to your hole TROLL, and stop embarrassing the state of Indiana. Or maybe you can go to the Congo and find a 'new recruit' for CW. Whatever you do, go away unless you have an intelligent take that doesn't suck (don't have to agree with the masses, just think before you type). Peace.
