Latina is gone per ESPN radio

Latina is gone per ESPN radio

ESPN radio in Chicago today reported that Latina has been fired. ND later denied the reports and said that Latina is still employed as the Offensive Line coach. I have not yet heard of a retraction from ESPN on the subject

I just read on Rivals that they hear that Latina was fired, and it was done over the phone.

If true, thats a bad way to fire someone, but I'll be glad if he's gone.

Maybe he can teach a "SWISS CHEESE MAKER" class.

lol.

I still must admit though, that I think the problem is with CW's offensive scheme and youth of team, and Haywood and Latina are scapegoats.

Of course I have absolutely no clue, but that is my impression. I simply don't like CW's running game and overall scheme. I have also opined that the actual play calling is just icing on the cake, and anyone can do it. If the offensive system is solid, a play call has a good chance of working. If the system is weak, any play call has a good chance of failing and making a champion look like a punk.I think I have posted that opinion about 675 times.

I stutter.

And drink beer.

But I'm cute.

It could be, but someone has to show those behemoths how to run block and pass block, which the pass blocking is much better. I know that big guys with good feet can block if coached properly. They look like they are in la-la land sometimes and that is lack of focus (coaching)

I noticed this season that a two man rush can sack Jimmy. Just line up the DE out wide, and ND's line can't handle it.

Who's problem is that? The tackle? The guard? The lack of back blocking? The scheme?

Lack of depth at practice that forces line to be "nice?"

Also noticed extreme lack of footwork and leverage. And fucking embarrassing missed chop blocks. Why?

Good thing I don't record games, or I would be posting massive paragraphs 100 times daily.

Because I stutter.

But I'm cute.

Rivals.com College Football - Whispers: Plenty of buzz at AFCA convention

More buzz
It looks as if Notre Dame offensive line coach John Latina has been fired. And word is the dirty deed was done by phone. … New Washington coach Steve Sarkisian has hired Purdue running backs coach Joel Thomas for the same post with the Huskies. … Former Clemson linebackers coach Ron West is a top contender to become the coach of Presbyterian College, a FCS program in Clinton, S.C. … Oklahoma quarterback coach Josh Heupel may be the guy for Minnesota's offensive coordinator job. … Maryland recently named Massachusetts coach Don Brown to be defensive coordinator after Chris Cosh left for the same post at Kansas State. Terps coach Ralph Friedgen also considered Maryland linebackers coach Al Seamonson and former Wyoming defensive coordinator Mike Breske. … Word is Northwestern offensive line coach Bret Ingalls may be leaving the Wildcats' staff. … Look for former Mississippi State coach Sylvester Croom to return to the NFL. Croom is a former longtime NFL assistant.

90% sure now...pretty damn sure. Word is that he was canned over the phone and that folks at the coaching conference are aware, as a former ND coaching assistant was telling other people.

The whole how i met your mother episode about dumping comes to mind:
Options:
- Email
- Voice-mail: Fired! (and then hang up)
- somehow i dont see a connection to desperate dont leave me sex so well that takes the fun of that part.

To be honoust i would be quite upset if it happened over the phone due to the fact that ND would get a reputation as a bad working place.
