I just noticed that they are both playing in the Under Armour game on Sunday (along with our boy Zach Martin). Does anybody know if either of them are planning on announcing their college choice during the game? I looked around, but couldn't find a list for that game. I may be wrong, but I believe that last year Deion Walker announced for us during that game. I'd really love to get one (or both :rock:) of these guys!!!!

as far as i know, none of nd's recruits are expected to announce at that game...we could hope for a surprise positive though...

I know that Teo is not planning on announcing until he has taken all of his official visits to the schools on his list (ND, USC, BYU, UCLA, Stanford). I believe he has already taken two of them. He will probably declare his choice after national signing day

Teo is going to announce on signing day. He has said that from the very beginning and there is no indication that says otherwise.

We wont get either player. We have no chance in hell with these 2 players.

I think we got a shot at T'eo. God... with all the frequent flyer miles Charile's logged, I hope to sweet Jesus that we at least get to be in the top three.

He can't go to USC......he actually knows who Barack Obama is!

I said it a long time ago; Pete Carroll told people around USC that Te'o was the best recruit he's ever gone after, and that's saying A LOT. And now people are starting to see what Sneaky Pete was talking about. And he's an even better kid than he is a baller. This kid was made for ND!!! Keep your guns away from me if he signs with USC...I REALLY want this kid too.

one of Manti's goals is exposure for other Hawaii high school football players. Think about it for a moment. USC, BYU, Stanford, and UCLA all have had a fair share of Hawaii high school football players on thier rosters. I believe to date Notre Dame has had all but one (Jason Ching a fellow punahou alumni). With that being said On Feb 4th Manti will be a Fighting Irish...

Neither is coming to ND. Jenkins is overrated at #3 in the nation but he is a top 20 player, but T'eo is the truth. Him and Burfict are the cream of the crop as far as LB's go for '09. Those 2 are slightly below Chris Galippo who is the best LB to come out of HS in some time.

saw a quick piece on jenkins during the game he spoke about how his after football life is very important to him. if he doesnt become a pro he wants to get involved in his own business in sports medicine. he also talked about a prayer he says before every game, that he was taught by his father. "god is in me, through me, for me and with me"

now if this doesnt sound like a guy that belongs at notre dame i dont know who does, i really dont think that the other programs he is interested in are great at either of those things he found important enough to talk about during this high profile piece.

My lady has friend over and is watching America's Funniest Home Freaking Videos, and since I watched football all day I'm not going to our bedroom and watching the All-Star game (sigh). But that's a great quote; thanks for the info. I don't think he's coming but that gives me a wee bit of hope!

So, are these (2) and Gaffney pretty much it that are left on our radar for recruiting? I think Gaffney is our only realistic chance out of the 3 at this point which makes for a boring next month and a half!
