The link didn't work (sorry), but this is a summary of his comments.
Michael Floyd, the recordsetting Notre Dame freshman from Cretin-Derham Hall and a future NFL wide receiver, is home in St. Paul after the Irish's 49-21 victory over Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl. Floyd said he was pleased with his rookie season, in which he had 48 receptions for 719 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games. "I knew it would be tough at the beginning trying to fit in with everything; it was kind of mind-boggling, the speed of the game," Floyd said. "But you have no choice but to go on with the pace, and eventually you catch up." Notre Dame finished 7-6. Next season? "We'll be pretty good; we have most everybody coming back," said Floyd, who played at 6 feet 4, 215 pounds compared with 6-4, 205 in high school. -- Pioneer Press

And if Kamera can drop 10-15 pounds...

I feel bad for saying this, but I just don't see Kamara in the rotation. I think it will be West, Kamara, and Parris watching from the sidelines. Tate and Floyd are locks to start. Walker and Goodman are two I have a good feeling about and Evans is too good to keep off the field for long. Barring any unforeseen setbacks, I think Kamara just gets overtaken on the depth chart.

I am so excited to see the duo of Floyd and Tate next season. Another year of experience for those two and they will be scary.

#%#@ it. Let's just run the A-11 offense next year where all 11 players can go out for a pass.

I agree with your post. I think Kamara has gotten shuffled a little lower in the deck. He would be great to keep around for redzone fades to the corner because of his height but It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him transfer somewhere else before the start of next season.

Sophmore slump guys. He will be back and better then ever. Walker, Goodman, Evans have no experience and will have a hard time take that 3rd WR spot from Kamara after the great off season I think he will have this year! Competition breeds success and this is good for all the WR. No one is going to take the offseason lightly thinking they have a job locked up. Same with QB and RB. We just need some depth at OL so those guys stop just going through the motions!

Das right. I'm Goofie dammit. And Bambi. And one/seventh of Snow White's entourage...

Just working some weirdass hours last few months. Needs me some Cracker Jacks. Just can't seem to finish a bag before I spill...Can't find the gift inside either. Dammit

I hope you are right because I always want to see a kid do well. I just saw him play without any fire this year and his bad case of the dropsies really hurt us at times. I think he is going to be right there with George West. George is a great kid - early enrollee, great speed, expected to be a major contributor and did play as a frosh. Where is he now?

I am not arguing with you and I truly hope your point plays out to be true, but I just don't see Kamara holding off guys coming in behind him. Sure Walker, Evans, and Goodman don't have experience, but Walker and Goodman will be hungry after spending a year riding the pine and Evans is just a stud. Floyd didn't have experience either when he arrived and he went by Kamara like he was standing still. Tate was converted from RB and he improved by leaps and bounds each year. In order to keep his place on the depth chart, Kamara will have to find his confidence, improve his consistent catching ability, learn how to play DB when the ball is up for grabs, and work on his intensity.

But, this is a thread about Floyd. I think he is a special player and a remarkable young man. He is going to be a force next year with his partner Tate. Those two are going to have to be considered one of the top receiving duos entering next season.

He would be great to keep around for redzone fades to the corner because of his height.

He'd be the 3rd on my list on our team I'd throw a fade to on the team right now, and that might change next year when I see Shaq and Goodman (I'm really high on that kid...been hearing great things). First I'd throw it to Floyd because he's only an inch shorter, yet has way better hands, way better instincts, is much stronger, and is simply a much better receiver. If not Floyd, then I'm throwing it to Tate, who has way better hands and is just an animal when the ball is in the air. Either he's gonna get it or nobody is. He has in him what Kamara doesn't...a stronger will to get the ball than his opponent. As a QB, you LOVE that.

Here's what I think happened w/ Duval: He had a very good freshman year, and passed up everyone on the depth chart. He knew that he was the man coming in, 'cause no one on ND's roster was a better receiver than he was. Yeah, he heard about Floyd coming in, but no freshman was going to beat him out. So he didn't work hard. He probably worked out, but he didn't WORK OUT. And he came into camp severely overweight.

Meanwhile, Golden Tate (G-Money!!!) was working his ASS off, getting faster, bigger, etc, and more importantly, learning how to be a receiver. And he came back to campus a beast. And Floyd came on campus and was everything we dreamed of and more. Duval started, but he heard footsteps, seeing in practice every day from those 2 what we finally saw in the games. Floyd steps on the field for the first time, and promptly catches a TD pass (off a fade!). Kamara drops a pass that turns into a pick, and the season just snowballs from there. It suddenly seems that every pass that Clausen throws to him is either dropped or picked the first half of the year. And he never got his footing. It's going to be even harder to do this year with the stable of studs we have at his position. He better be working his ass off STARTING NOW if he wants to see the field consistently next year.

Getting back to Floyd, I'll say what I said the first game of the season: WHAT..............A.............STUD!

Great post Bro!!!

Floyd is going to be THE man. He is going to set some records before he is done at ND. I love looking at him when he is on the field - he just looks intense and in to the game. With a full season and then spring under his belt, I can't wait to see what he looks like against Nevada. I love his play on the field and the kind of young man he appears to be off the field.
