I imagine Corwin Brown will be on a short list of potential replacements.

Well if he wants to go home, I guess he has that option. I didn't think about that but I am not sure how that would effect us. We will see. Does anyone know if Rich Rod knows or has prior experience with Corwin? Rich Rod generally likes to use guys he knows, but anything could happen

That would kind of suck if he left. The defense did play fairly well in a few games and several half games. It will be interesting to see what he does with a little deeper roster.

He's been a rebuilding project for two straight years so I can't imagine he would leave to go to another one.

He quit, he wasnt fired. I just hope Corwin does what is best for him and his family.

ESPN - Michigan Wolverines defensive coordinator resigns

From PADOMERNUT'S article:
"I take full responsibility for the demise of where Michigan's program is at this time."

Scapegoat bullshit. Didn't watch any Bitchagain football other than ND game enough to know any better, but Bitchagain may be cleaning house.

Corwin is best choice. Damn. Hate to lose the guy, but I put my money on Corwin gone. Nd still has Tenuta.

Corwin! - stay with ND. Dammit.

Does the stupid helmet team (Bitchagain) take Corwin?

Rodriguez wants to run his stupid 3-3-5 defense, so I imagine he would like someone with experience running that. Right now, I wouldn't be surprised if Michigan's LB coach Jay Hopson is promoted from within - he ran the defense as D-Coordinator at Southern Miss.

he was asked to resign...there really isn't a difference between being fired and being asked to resign besides buyout consideration.

Shafer on Tuesday told the Detroit Free Press that he did resign and was not fired.....

We just had a mutual decision," Shafer told the Free Press. "We had different thoughts on the way we did things. I take full responsibility for the demise of where Michigan's program is at this time."

So you get he was asked to resign out of that?

Really I don't care if he resigned due to a vanarial infection. All that matters to me and in my opinion to the rest of you all is how it affects ND football. I believe that no matter the reason the point is that our D-corrdinator went to Mich. and it is posible that they could be looking his way. That is the real issue lets not get caught up in the minor details of this situation. Will Corwin be here, there, or somewhere else is all that I care about.........
