I see a lot of posts hear with suggestions on possible replacements for Latina, Haywood, ect. But has their actually been a decision to make some coaching changes? Or are posters just assuming there will be?

Personally I want a new O-line coach, offensive coordinator, and strength and conditioning coach. And I hope we get new ones this year.

Anytime a program underachieves then you usually see some coaching changes. Consequently, I think CW will make some changes to try and save his butt. I just hope that whoever he brings in makes the program better

are there going to be changes

I would like to ask this question. I have friends who are either players, ( son of a good friend ) coaches, ( retired but once a DC ) or trainers that this past year have given me some great insight into my beloved Irish. I will NOT give any name or ANY hint of who but I would like to share some of their insights if anyone is interested. I trust these men as they are good friends with no ax to grind as they are in southern schools. The player played against us last year. My reason for asking this question to the forum is that I dont want to be one of those guys catching %^&$ from everybody and can just keep it to myself. I'm not sure that everyone would think it was just hot air. Let me know what you guys/gals think.

Huh? One hell of a confusing post.

Poster "framont" in the "Crist to challenge Clausen" thread posted "But Crist coming out and saying he didnt know the playbook and was frustrated by it during the season is why he didnt play." If this is true, it tells me a lot.

I have been saying all along that CWs playbook is ridiculous. Asst. coaches and "playcalling" suffer as a result. I kinda think current coaches should stay, but CWs offensive package needs improvement.

Another thought though is that with a bare cupboard, maybe CW has been thinking long term and protecting the pups. Seems to me injuries have been reduced drastically since he took over. Just a TV watcher's observation. I wonder if anyone knows for sure whether or not injuries have been reduced. (And maybe not a good thing. Maybe less injuries mean athletes not "going for it.")

I just confused myself.

PM me with your info gairish.

If we were to make changes, when is the ideal time? I suppose we are not going to know everyone that is available until after the bowl game. But what happens if we win impressively and dominate in all facets of the game? Seems ludicrous considering what we have seen the last 6 weeks, but possible all the same. Will false hope be restored for yet another year? Charlie does not have one more year to hope that a couple of these coaches 'get it.'

Charlie seems like a fairly intelligent guy. He's not going to let one week against the third place(?) team in the WAC erase what he's seen all year. I'm sure that Swarprick isn't going to let him keep the staff in tact regardless of what occurs in Hawaii. He needs a sacrificial lamb and, frankly, so do I. I want Latina gone.

How about Mark May for O-Line coach and Lou Ferigno for strength and conditioning?

Why not make that know it all fuck Jeff Carroll the d-coordinator. Dan Jacobson (from ESPN's First Take) would be my choice for strength coach....that dude is stout.

i like the change in strength and conditioning, if not a change in position a change in workout application, i want to see speed, lots of it. I want lineman that can run like Corners, well i guess we should teach them to block first..lol. Like it was said before whenever things go wrong in an organization there are changes made. I believe 6-6 is certainly not right so expect some changes, whether it be the OC or the OL coach or even the waterboy, someone is getting the hammer. Personally i think the waterboy did a fine job. And as a fan always believes, changing in the coaching means changing in the performance so i for one say let the hammer fall, and may it strike with good results
