I don't think I saw it anywhere. Is there any update or has anyone seen Armando since the injury vs. USC? It didn't look good when he was walking off the field.

What a stupid, stupid thread. What this site really needs is a thread on whether or not Charlie Weis should be fired, or what assistants whould be let go. Or how about a thread about Urban Meyer?

J/K

Haven't heard anything on Allen, but it seemed to be pretty serious. He was on crutches after the game. That hurts us for the bowl (if he can't play), because Hughes is out for the first half because he got kicked out of the USC game for getting punched in the face by a dirty USC thug. So that leaves us with 2 RB's who love to fumble (sorry ACamp, Aldridge looked good against SC but he seems to be a fumbler; maybe it's just me. And Gray fumbled when he was purposely trying NOT to fumble).

I think I read that Anello broke a bone in his leg (could be wrong). BGI said that he's eligible to return for a 5th year...

yeah, anello's leg snapped like a toothpick when his body whipped around. i hope he recovers fully and can apply for a 5th year. he has a bright future away from football so who knows. i absolutely love that kid and his passion but he has to do what is best for him obviously.

maybe we see gray get in a groove out there. i'm sure he'll get a chance to break out on one of the 25 screen plays that get called in the first half of the bowl game.

Aldridge and Gray combo should be fine. Gray should get more reps in practice until the bowl game which will be great for him. We do not have a line that can run block so it does not really matter!

Am I the only one who wouldn't fuck with that Dan Jacobson guy from ESPN's First Take? That dude is one buff motherfucker. I don't know what's up with his hair--it's some sort of Fabio look--but damn, dude is stout.

What about the 8 yard deep obvious handoff?

You mean the play where Jimmy takes the snap, turns around and sticks his arm straight out with the ball at a 90 degree angle from his body and runs backward 5 to 8 yards as the entire O line dives on the ground or plays matador to let EVERY defensive player through??? Yeah, that one is my personal favorite too.

You mean the always effective "look out block"?

What about get rid of the pro style. Put the spread in mabye we can score some points. Hell look at all the Mid Majors who are winning with it .

Isn't the "NFL tested coach running a pro style offense" part of the recruiting pitch that helps Charlie gets so many recruits? He flashes those Super Bowl rings to tell the recruits that he's been where they want to go and he knows how to get them there.

In terms of offense, most kids know that they're going no where after college if they go to Texas Tech or even Florida. How many good receivers or qb's do those schools have in the NFL right now? Look at what a bust Alex Smith has turned out to be. The pro style offense can be effective and I believe that.
