As for your comments....I took them for exactly what they were and simply responded that CW's arrogance could lead him to believe many things that aren't certain or true. He's not making any trips to tell recruits that he'll back; he's making these trips to reaffirm their commitments in the wake of the USC beat down and because it's now poaching season. The verbal commitments of the recruits amount to nothing more than casual words spoken and now is the time to ensure that they aren't going anywhere. He's simply cementing relationships.

I'm glad that CW's on the recruiting trail because it's where he should be. I'm sure that he doesn't want to sit at home and chew his nails for the next week. Plus, should he be retained, it would be a week lost on the job.

I have an uncle that coached at Miami and Colorado State. He is now on the staff at the University of Montana and has been around the college game, with a brief interlude in professional football, for 40 years. Over family get togethers and trips to watch his teams play, I've come to a fairly solid understanding of what goes on behind the scenes in college football.

I saw his name in an earlier post. I looked him up and seems to be doing a great job at Buffalo, at that level you must know how to motivate your players. Plus it would make a lot of poeple happy since he is african american. Does anyone have any insight on this guy?

I think that there is some real value in looking at a smaller division or league for a good coach. Tressel was a big success at Youngstown State and has proven to get the job done at OSU as well.
