Brian Kelly hasn't beaten anyone of significance yet. I doubt he'll be able to make ND an elite team.

Yah Kelly hasn't done shit except for taking an underrated Cincy team to the Orange bowl.

And try to sign Brian Kelly as soon as possible.

Brain Kelly????? Why should ND settle? Unless they have a plan to get Urban Meyer here then stick with CW one more year. Kelly is the flavor of the week and I will not drink that kool-aid. CW will be told to fire some assistants (Latina for sure) and get an ultimatum from the administration to turn it around or he is gone.

Tenuta.

When we signed him, the lateral move/demotion made no sense for him unless there were some promises made to him about his future here, and I said so at the time.

If [NAME REDACTED] is indeed fired, look for Tenuta to be named the new HC.

We can and will get Meyer, but not this year. Giving the job to Tenuta will give him a few years to prove himself, after which we could get Meyer if it doesn't work out.

How are they underrated? By being picked 5th in conference and actually winning it? Oh yeah, good call.
Cincy has won 10 games in a season a total of three times, and Kelly did it twice in his two years. He's a winner, period. Plus, the fans and players love him and his toughness.
I'd love to have him at ND if Stoops/Richt/Meyer aren't named. He's legit.

No the players don't love him. I live in Michigan have family that played at GVSU under Kelley, and family who are alumni and have heard stories about him at Central Michigan. His players hate him with a passion. Ask anyone in Michigan who has ties to Central or Grand Valley and they will tell you. Kelley would be an awful hire.

I'm talking about the players in Cincy. They love him and fear him. He has them winning, beating teams they never have before. I can't speak for his past schools, but the players respond to him, and that's what matters. He's a tough SOB, but expecting perfection isn't going to always make you popular, but they do respect him...which is what I meant.

I'm agreeing with you... I said UNDERrated not OVERrated.

The head coach is not here to be your BFF.

I would think that Tenuta would be a bad choice. The players need someone to motivate them. Tenuta is there now and we see no improvement. Even the defense is suspect. It is better than the offense but still gives up leads in the fourth quarter or like last night they dont really stop the other team.

WTF? I live in Grand Rapids Michigan (15 minutes from GVSU) and have seen plenty of games. I have actually spoken to the guy several times (Went to my girlfriends parents church) and have NEVER EVER heard anything of what you are claiming. Now I by all means am not calling you a liar but that just sounds crazy to me.

Watch much football?

U$C's first 4 possessions ended in INT, TD, Punt, Punt. It sure would have been nice if our offense could've stayed out on the field for more than 3 plays. If you leave your D out on the field for the entire game, they're not going to last, no matter how good they are.

Naw dude, I dont. I am an Irish fan. What about the score? The defense I said was better than the offense. I said Tenuta was not the guy for the job in my opinion. You come on here and insult me. I did not insult you. So there. Int, Touchdown! On the second possession. Were they tired then? I am not saying they are bad just that Tenuta (in my opinion) is not the man for the HC job.

No they don't. I know the coach isn't here to be your friend but the guy is a Grade A asshole. I won't share anything but I know enough to hope that he isn't our next coach.

My cousin played under him at GVSU, and I knew several teammates. There is a reason he got passed up for interviews for the Head Coaching jobs at Michigan and Michigan State and I'll give you a hint his coaching ability was more than enough to get him an interview. He isn't highly though of by a lot of people in Michigan.

About the coaching staff....1. Fire the head coach NOW, 2. All assist. coaches are released with him, 3. Hire the new head coach with very specific performance goals to a 3-4 year contract,4. The new coach hires all assistants. The new coach must have good public relation skills, develope a personal relationship with each player...ala Pete Carrol and Urban Meyer..and be able to motivate and develope his players above and beyond their natural abilities. Who did this before at ND..Frank Leahy, Ara and Lou. And one more important consideration, he must love Notre Dame as 99% of alumni do.
