Charlie got the best yougn QB in the country in Jimmy Clausen and he cant win with him. He's got 2 great receivers and he can't win with them. He's got a two great safties, 3 great LB's, and a great DT and he still cant win. I dont [care] if it sets us back 3, 4, or 5 years because the fact of the matter is Charlie cannot get it done. He should have stuck to coordinating.

Urban does not understand ND...that's why he is not here now.

While his family did not want to move to South Bend...Urban wanted things that ND would never deliver (JUCOs, etc).

Yeah i forgot that putting your family first, like Urban did in choosing flordia, isnt what ND stands for. And I forgot how much the Lou Holtz staff didnt fit ND, or didnt understand ND, or even respect ND...... Oh yeah, and Urban was on that staff..... U are obviously extremely knowledgable about Meyer..... minus taking some of our recruits to his team, people have nothing on the guy. And even then we take recruits from other teams. He is an amazing Lou Holtz product, and understands what ND is and what we stand for. WINNING, in every aspect that word can be used. Family, God, Academics, and Athletics. Im not out for charlies head exactly, but i think Urban would make a great coach for ND.

the problem with most of the negative stories about ND/Weis is that the source is usually one anonymous person. the trend there is telling.

Again i will say the guys that Urban produce are great guys.....I live 15 minutes from bowling green, two of his guys have been my teachers. One has been my coach. He cares deeply about how his players turn out, oh yeah, and those guys turned out great. He doesnt just let morons on the team like you would say, he recruits winners. Notre Dames academics are not going to just fall right threw the floor if he comes to notre dame, and the football team will improve, hands down.

Yeah, and those smarts are showing on the field. I applaud good student athletes, but if guys are failing out, or can't cut it acedemically, but our solid people, then the Bar sholud be lowered. Sorry but football brings in millions of dollars, something needs to be done to make ND relevent again.

I agree with you, but he was only HC for 2 of those. Just for clarity's sake. However, he is a model coach, I think. He is young too and he outcoached Stoops at a BCS game. Boise State was beating OK up and down the field that night. OK was good enough to overcome it and take the lead at the end. Then to have the cajones to call those plays to win the game. Awesome.

ND took a Chance on Tony Rice and Chris Zorich, good charecter guys who were borderline(acedemically) for acceptence at ND. They should take a chance on high Charecter guys who might not be 4.0 . We will not compete with USC if we continue this. Look no further than Ray Malaeuga post game interview. Do you think that clown goes to class?

I have heard rumors on Irishillustrated that Weis is staying for another year. He will be asked to fire Latina, Haywood(if he isn't already gone), and Oliver. If those 3 go Powlus and Mendoza better be right out the door with them. Also heard Eastern Michigan is looking to bring in Corwin Brown for an interview for their HC vacancy. Obviously just rumors but we will see.
