Why we should refuse a Bowl bid

Only way I would want this team to go to a bowl game is if Latina/Haywood are both gone beforehand.

I have given this a lot of thought. We will obviously get a better Bowl than we deserve due to our history and our fan base. Which means, we will face a better opponent than we are capable of beating.

I say stay home and save us the embarrasment of an a$$ kicking. Frankly, if we didn't play some very bad teams like Stanford, Navy, San Diego State, Washington, and Syracuse (HaHaHa) - we wouldn't even be Bowl eligible. If we played in the Big East or ACC we would have been lucky to win 5 games all season.

here are my 2 or 3 cents.....

if by chance ND is waiting on the outcome of the usc game to decide on cdub's fate, then there are 3 perspectives i have:

1. if we get blown out by usc....cw gets fired immediately. does an interim coach (brown, tenuta, etc.) step in for a bowl game or does cw finish the season out? if so, then i say no bowl game. that to me would be a complete waste of time.

2. if we lose a close one, cw keeps his job. i say yes to a bowl game becuz preparation for next season is paramount.

3. if nd pulls on out of their ass and beats usc....cw keeps his job and yes to a bowl game, as stated above.
