Gator Bowl has a handshake with ND already, they just have to win this weekend...it's a done deal.

I believe the Cotton has a say about this and its more money. I'd rather go Gatoring, but whose to argue.

If we go to the Gator bowl I hope we match up with Miami. Miami's offense is inept enough that even with our current struggles offensively we would be in that game.

The reason we go the Gator over the Cotton is because of the ND clause...not to mention it is on NBC...I was told from a good source that we just need the win this weekend and it will be the first time a 7-5 team (USC loss) will go to the Gator

And the Cotton has a clause that subs their SEC pick once every four years, this is year 3 in the current cycle.

You are correct. I just read that same thing in sports section of a newspaper last night. interesting isn't it? Though there are many ND haters and bashers out there, ND still has a very appealing and alluring presence about them when it comes to bowl match-ups, don't they? Gotta love those Irish!!!

There are so many haters because we get bowls we do not deserve. Gator is way to high profile for the way we are playing right now. I think we might actually get a favorable match up but seriously we should be playing in the Motor City Bowl level bowl game this year!

The Irish should be able to compete this year at the Sun Bowl level. They play a good error-free game, they can play with teams of the caliber of the 3rd best PAC-10 team. IMO, the Irish are definitely more CAPABLE of playing at a higher level than the Motor City Bowl level. Then again, we wouldn't know that until AFTER the game would we?

Actually, I take that back...I would not want to play in the motor city bowl. A lose to a MAC school would be horrible! I agree a Sun Bowl type of game would be more up our alley! A cotton bowl birth would be all bad...I cannot think of any team that I would want to play in that game...missouri, Oklahoma...NO thank you!!!!!!!

Ball State definitely deserves a better bowl than the Motor City. For their sake, I hope they get a pretty decent one.

Nate Davis is tough and freshman WR Orsbon catches everything. pretty disciplined football team. i hope they somehow get a better bowl i think they're fun to watch.
