I've been watching and rooting for ND most of my 26 years. I can honestly say, that at this point I can't stand ND. The administration and football program have become an absolute joke.
They gave Charlie Cheeseburger a massive contract extension after proving absolutely nothing, and now they won't be able to get rid of him this year because of it.

I understand this team is still young, but they are not any better than they were at the beginning of the year. At least the offense isn't. Pete Carroll, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Bob Stoop would all have this team performing at a higher level.

It's only hard to take if you were expecting 9 or 10 wins from this team, this year. Those of us who came into the season with realistic expectations (6-6 or 7-5) are not surprised that this team is struggling. Look, guys.............we are a mediocre team that looks it might have a few gems, specifically Tate and Floyd. Luckily those potential gems are young guys who will be around for another year or two or three. I'm actually impressed with how well the Defense has played this year. They went from being horrible last year, to being average, or just a little below average, this year. This defense is not ready to play with the USCs, the Oklahomas, the Texases of the college football world, but they are nowhere near horrible.

As to Weis' playcalling... Notice that ND is running the screens, the direct snaps, the runs that people here have been screaming for, the last few games.

I did see a cut block on the left side, on the td play. I hate cut blocks. They are too big to be doing that IMHO. Strong run anyway.

This defense is unfriggenbelievable. I truly cannot remember the last time I liked an ND defense. Hopefully the defensive side can stay intact for a while.

True. We have had good players but been awhile since we had a good unit. I tend to think back to Zorich or Stonebreaker or Bolcar days
