If we should lose this game today (which is entirely possible, if not likely, considering the fact that we will be severely limited in number of possessions and we are developing the tendency to screw the pooch on O) then all the fence-sitting and rationalization on the topic of [NAME REDACTED] will be done. We are light years away from when we could just chalk up Navy as an automatic win (that alone should tell you something.) Should we stumble today, I have a feeling that suddenly the money will be there for the buyout.
I just have a bad feeling about this game. Navy just holds on to the ball way too long, so we're going to have to make the most of every possession we get....but this team has yet to demonstrate that they can do that consistently.
Hopefully we can win the turnover battle, win the field position battle, get TD's instead of FG's (or missed FG's) when we get in the red zone, and stay in our lanes on D to keep their offense in check.
If not, then things are going to get really ugly for this program.
