The only threads I see about the presidential election have all been locked. Does that mean we are suppressed from voices our opinions and concerns about the direction of our country here? Sounds like the legislation the Democrats are going to slam through that will suppress FOX News amd the Hannity/Limbaugh/Ingraham talk radio hosts and somehow substantiate garbage like MSNBC. If I see Keith Olbermann cry one more time I am going to rip out his G-D trachea.

Sorry if I am being defensive to what I am seeing after a few days away from the site. If for some commie reason this thread is closed, could a mod please PM me as to why?

I am not excited about the choice that was made last night. I hope everyone is looking forward to 'change,' because that's what you're going to get. Not dollars, change.

I might be in the minority here, but I don't come to this site to talk politics. I come to talk ND football, and college football in general. There are a million forums for the political stuff. Having to get ripped for voting for McCain or Obama on a college football site is not my idea of fun, personally, especially when we have BC on Saturday.

Politics should be at the forefront, but this is a place to escape that world, if only for a minute. I think the mods probably think that now that the election is over, we can turn our attention to more important things, like whether NDOM's head is going to explode the next time someone says CW is a good head coach.

Most on this board realize that the mess of the ND football program was not created overnight and have been willing to give CW the benefit of the doubt, support him and not expect instantaneous miracles.

Let's give our new president the same chance.

You could always PM a mod first....hmmmm

I closed the threads because this whole site was never intended to be a political one. a reasonable amount of latitude was given because the election is obviously something everyone was dealing with on a daily basis.

Now that it's over, it seems to me it's time to go back to discussing ND football. That's not to say people can't discuss politics, but that seems best done at a political site.

If the admins and owners want to have a political forum/thread. then they can do so if they chose.
