After the loss to Noth Carolina we were ranked 39 and after the bye week still 39 (pretty good thing we did'nt go down). I was a little weary about how many ranks we would move up after the upcoming easy win, but we did better than I thought.....26. It is great that we are so close to being in the top 25, but not that great considering we are playing smellyPITT next week and will be fighting for that win.

Yeah, and they have a dynamite running back. If we learned anything against Michigan State and Ringer, we are not very strong against the run. We need to change our defensive gameplan this week and not blitz off the corners as much, as that strategy opens up big holes for the opponents running backs to get through. I hope to see a lot of 8 men in the box and we need to trust our DB's to hold up on one on one coverage. That's how we beat Pitt!

There is an AP Top 35, and a Coaches Top 30 poll? I always thought you were either:

A) ranked 1-25, or


B) unranked.

it's just like little league now, everyone gets a trophy. you don't want anyone left out so they extend the voting to include the less fortunate. there are two rankings that matter in this league, bcs and top 25.
