No, I've seen this confirmed. I'm now embarrassed that there was no profile for him sooner.

I've been wanting this kid to get an offer for some time. hee hee, well there's no time like the present.

Showing up and participating in the camp certainly paid dividends for Zeke Motta.

The other S/OLB/tweener prospect Mike Jones I believe was on campus for a visit last week or weekend but did not participate in the camp. Hence, he still has not been offered. It could be the coaches want to see more than just his film and want him to participate in a camp before offering. Since he and Zeke Motta could possibly play S/OLB/tweener (like Harrison Smith this year), an offer to Zeke does not mean Mike Jones won't be offered.

Despite having many schools of interest, one of the things that may help propel ND into the top of Zeke's list is the educational opportunity.

His other top schools include Stanford, Boston College and Wake Forest.

Even prior to receiving an offer ND was high on his favorites list with Stanford, Auburn, Wake Forest, West Virginia and unfortunately Florida.

If we were really in his top group (top 5?) you would think that going to the camp and getting an official offer, we ought to go into the top 2 or 3??? We will see if he was as impressed with us as we were with him by what he does over the next couple of weeks.

His timetable for a decision is the start of his SR year, though that can change if he decided to take some officials during the season.

Something doesn't sound right here. But im glad we offered this kid. I hope CW and co can bring him home.

Haha...I can't believe Joachim "pothead" Noah couldn't have played football too! He would have fit right in!

I don't know of anyone who is questioning whether he could fit in here or if he is a good enough student (cause he is smart) its just some believe Jones would be a better player.

Zeke would like to be an early enrollee is what i've heard. his 4.0 meets ND standards to qualify. We'll have to wait and see.

Just watched his rivals film. I liked what I saw. He's a hard-nosed kid that doesn't back down and goes full throttle every play (for the entire play). From his special teams clips you can see his passion for the game. Looks like he'd be a standout gunner. IMO, good offer!

Motta would do both himself and us a favor by committing now if he truly values the academics. I like this kid....he will be a star at ND.

i just wish they kids would commit if they knew where they wanted to go. if not definitly take your time but if your just holding out to hold out. you are hurting yourself and the team. they could spend more hours recruiting other as could you.

The fact Zeke was willing to attend a camp and work for an offer says he's not one of the many top recruits who covet a ND offer just for bragging rights; the interest seems genuine.

Following his recent camp/visit, he was impressed with what ND has to offer and put them as one of his top schools.

He also ruled out playing for an Ivy league school, wanting a higher level of football than that conf can offer. However, the fact that he was considering it tells you what kind of a student he is.

I agree with THegraNDscheme's evaluation of Motta. His highlight film on Rivals is outstanding. If we get this kid and miss on our first choices, ND will still be OK. My opinion of Motta is the same I had on Fox. He is a classic hard-nosed football player and would be a great addition.

Motta was on Power Hour radio tonight.

At his HS, he played mostly FS and had alot of freedom in the 3-3-5 defense they played.

Says academics will be a big factor since he knows football will end sometime. For that reason, Stanford, ND and BC are a few schools that have his attention.

Plans on making visits in Sept and making his decision shortly thereafter. He hopes to graduate early and enter college as an early enrolee.

Yeah, in comparison to Da U they probably are.

Of Florida, FSU and Miami, Florida rates the worst academically among the 3. FSU and especially Miami are actually very good schools academia wise but as we've seen over the years both University's have never enforced the standards of there athletes ditto for Michigan.

at least it said nd was high on his list. thats great. hopefully he will see how we are mixing some of our lb's with safteys and it will excite him. i know with his size and speed he could be special at either position so i hope hes a nd guy by the end of football season

Visit date now set, not sure of actual date, but it is set per blueandgold.com. Also had 9 tackles and two forced fumbles in his teams season opening 21-6 win over their county rival. (Riverside?) yea thats the most recent info i have come upon, if anyone has premium access to Blueandgold they can elloborate further.
