During the spring evaluation period, Allen received a visit at his HS from some of the ND coaches.

It could have been Haywood, since he has Texas connections.

If Sharpley does not come back for a 5th year in 2009, we will need more than 2 scholarship QBs on the roster.

I think we need one every year. And there's no reason they can't land one every year. It doesn't have to be the #1 QB every year.

If Clausen and Crist continue to improve, that will take the pressure off the incoming QBs to have to be starters right away. That will give the staff time to work with someone who has the physical skills, but needs some development.

i think if sharpley doesnt come back it could be hard. sharpley is the kind of guy that you need in meetings to help the younger guys out. explain what the defense is doing and how they may be tipping him off. hes the big brother and voice of experience. granted if he doesnt come back we should still be fine with jc progressing and winning but it always helps to have a veteran qb behind the young guys.

Any chance we offer and obtain the services of QTBK Drew Allen....his video is awesome and he runs like a deer.

Unsure at this point. ND offered i believe 5 different QBs and all are off the board. There were a few more getting what appeared to be serious looks, but no offers have gone out since the last QB offer.

The staff may be content with the current QB depth status and look to land another QB commit next year.

My bold prediction is we will know for sure by Feb 5, 2009.
